Tailored Representation in Family Court Order Modifications
Any changes that need to be made to an established child custody or child support order must go through the courts in order for those modifications to be legally binding. A parent cannot just decide to change the terms of the arrangement on his or her own.
At Mark H. Hashley, PLC, I provide clients with skilled representation in a wide variety of family law issues, including post-judgment matters such as child support and child custody modification. I strive to help my clients understand their rights and set realistic expectations for the potential outcomes of their cases.

Child Custody Modifications
Changes to child custody and parenting time can be made. However, without proper cause, the arrangement may stay as it has been ordered. I can walk clients through the process of seeking a modification to a child custody order when a parent's ability to care and provide for a child may have been changed by their circumstances.
Relocation
It is not uncommon for a custodial parent to want to move out of state with his or her child. Though this is possible, it is important that the proper legal steps are taken to ensure that the relocation is completed in accordance with any standing custody order or modifications that are made to that order. I can represent parents on either side of this issue; those wishing to relocate and those attempting to stop a relocation from happening.
Child Support Modifications
After an order for child support has been issued, it is up to each parent to enlist legal counsel if they believe that the amount of child support being paid needs to be modified for any reason. It is important that any change in income or other circumstances of either parent be taken into consideration when seeking a child support modification. I provide clients with child support modification representation, whether they are seeking the reduction of the amount that they are paying or are seeking an increase in the amount of child support that they receive.
Contact me to learn more about how I handle child support and child custody modifications, in addition to a range of other family law services.
